Vacation Bible School

Each year, we partner with the Dugger Church of Christ to provide an amazing VBS experience for children in our community.

This year the VBS theme is Keepers of the Kingdom and will take place July 9-13 from 6:00-8:00 each evening at the Dugger First Christian Church.

Woodland Bible Camp

Woodland Bible Camp has served the youth of Greene and Sullivan counties, as well as well other parts of Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana and Florida since 1954.

Woodland Bible Camp seeks to equip campers with God’s Word, the Bible, in meaningful and practical ways to improve their lives. The camp serves to encourage campers to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and to encourage campers who are Christians to conform their lives to the person of Jesus Christ.

Precious Promises Preschool

Precious Promises Preschool is a ministry of First Christian Church, governed by an advisory team made up of various members of the congregation who have a heart for children. Our teacher is Rici Oricks. She has been the Precious Promises Preschool teacher since August, 2020. At Precious Promises, we strive to work as partners with families to provide a fun loving Christian environment that is intellectually stimulating and emotionally/socially wholesome. We believe that children are a gift from God. Helping them to learn is a divine privilege. We give our best effort to be a positive role model that instills Christian values that will help your child through the journey of life. We use hands-on stories and activities that teach your child the fundamental concepts of the beautifully diverse world God created!

Children are taught the love and acceptance of Jesus towards all people. We want the children to recognize that God is the Creator, Jesus is His Son, and that He loves and accepts us as we are. Children are also encouraged to build skills in listening and language development and understand concepts related to size, shape, space, color, and distance. Reading and math readiness skills will be practiced. More information, including registration information can be found by visiting the Precious Promises Preschool Facebook page.
